Dear People Without Kids:
Don’t buy toddlers markers unless you plan on cleaning up the aftermath. It’s just not a good idea.
Sincerely, Moms Everywhere.
My little Picasso decided to leave her mark on the walls, a lampshade, a ball, most of her toys, books, and.. oh yeah, her face:

I advocate the use of Crayola’s Color Wonder products. I love them. Those you can buy for toddlers. The only downside is that you have to have the paper for them. That’s not too big of a deal, and a totally fair trade for the quality of your stuff AND your sanity. They also make finger paints. Those are cool, sort of sticky (the paper, I mean, not the paint… that’s goopy), and super easy to clean up.
Final ruling: Crayons, colored pencils, Color Wonder stuff OK, markers that actually show up on stuff, NOT OK.
